View Full Version : orange and white thing in my tank

ok so i was looking into my tank this morning, just generally having a look to see what has changed and what is growing. I saw a orange and white fuzzy work like thing. the top half was orange and bottom was white. is was moving in and out my rock. just wondered if anyone knows what it is and if its harmful to my tank.

It was probably a bristle worm, but it could have been one of these

it was pure white and bright orange. i ve not seen it since. but the shape was very much like what the pic is above.

Sounds to me like a type of Bristle Worm then mate.

Nothing to worry about as they, in my opinion, are useful scavengers to have in your tank.

As dan said, most likey a bristle worm.

Extremely useful scavengers in tanks, some love 'em some hate 'em. Me, i hate touching them.

yer i ve been warned not to touch them. but i ve not seen him since the first time, so he must be hiding again.

i think a devil lion hand puppet would add a certain something to your tank, and less likely to embed itself into your finger too

The only time I've been done by bristle worm's (yes! Plural) was when I was helping @TWISTED-FISH (http://www.ocean-wonders.co.uk/messageboard/member.php?u=5): swap over tanks!

Got me twice :( not nice lol
